Into the Pays de Loire

After a great breakfast and wandering around the lovely garden with a little island to sit on we set off and realised we had a soft back tyre after about 1 metre.
This is the difference between a soft (supported) ride and the DIY option. Change the tube.
We stopped at Segré which the guide dismissed as very ordinary but was lovely.
There are a  couple of nubile models in the river to admire.
The sun was shining and the roads pretty straight and undulating as we steamed into the valley of the Loire through mile after mile of vineyards.

Challones was the first town and a beer by the river was just the job.
We hadn't booked anywhere so when we rolled into Rochefort Sue Loire we hunted for a B&B and found a great spot.
Walking to our evening meal we passed a  house with the heights of major floods marked on. I'm glad we weren't here in 1910.
When in the Loire.......drink Cremant de Loire. End of a great day.
